Exigen Services Helps Intronis Technologies Reduce Data Backup Time and Significantly Improve Software Efficiency

Complex Algorithm Streamlined; Company Now Able to Offer Fastest Backup Utility on the Market

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 22, 2008) - Exigen® Services, the leading next generation application outsourcing provider, has helped to dramatically increase the efficiency for a major component of Intronis Technologies' online backup and archiving software, eSureIT. Intronis Technologies, a leading provider of online backup and archiving services, employed Exigen Services in its quest to optimize their Intelliblox functionality, to drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a backup.

Intelliblox, a utility within the eSureIT online backup, archiving and recovery software suite, automatically scans files within designated backup folder-sets on a user's server and compares them to previously archived documents. The Intelliblox technology is then able to extract just the blocks of data that have changed from the old version to the new. As only these blocks need to be backed up, Intelliblox significantly reduces the total file storage size, bandwidth requirements and subsequently, the user's monthly storage fees. An average daily backup of 150 gigabytes (GBs) can now be reduced to as little as 4GBs, reducing storage and bandwidth costs for customers by as much as 50 percent.

"By retooling our algorithm, we've been able to take considerable leaps in the marketplace, offering customers the fastest automated backup utility on the market today," said Sam Gutmann, president and CEO, Intronis Technologies. "Backup time and recovery points are the two most important concerns for the industry and with Exigen Services' help we've made significant strides with both in a very short amount of time."

"Our focus is on our customer's business problem and the best technology solution rather than how many billable hours we can get for a project," said Alex Adamopoulos, general manager and senior vice president, Exigen Services. "This mantra has taken us from a short, algorithm development pilot project with Intronis Technologies to becoming their sole outsourcing partner with an ever growing list of application support and development work. We're looking forward to helping such an exciting company become a market leader."
