ExtraHop Networks Achieves Significant Milestones One Year Following Launch

Network-Monitoring and Application-Delivery Startup Exceeds Expectations in 2009 With Triple-Digit Sales Growth, Two Major Product Releases, and a $5M Series A Round of Funding

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - November 30, 2009) - ExtraHop Networks, Inc., the first network-management company to deliver true application visibility, today announced that it has eclipsed all of its internally set milestones since launching its first commercial product, the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system, in December 2008. The company represents one of the bright spots in Seattle's technology startup community, surpassing aggressive sales goals, securing a multi-million dollar round of strategic funding, signing a variety of new channel partners, and rounding out its team with talent from various disciplines. In addition, ExtraHop Networks recently was recognized as one of the "Best Companies to Work For" in the Favorite Startups category by NWJobs.com, the online job site of the Seattle Times.

"2009 was an extraordinary year for ExtraHop Networks on every front," said Jesse Rothstein, co-founder and CEO of ExtraHop Networks. "We released the 2.0 version of our groundbreaking Application Delivery Assurance system, introduced our new 10GbE platform, raised a $5-million Series A round of venture financing in a very challenging economic environment, and earned a stellar list of customers. Our hard work in 2009 really has paid off, and we have some exciting projects in the works for 2010."

Corporate highlights for 2009 include the following achievements:

-- Unheralded Product Innovation -- Version 2.0 of the ExtraHop
Application Delivery Assurance system represents the industry's only 10GbE
solution for integrated network and application visibility. For the first
time, enterprise organizations have deep visibility into the critical
application layer of the network (L7) that other monitoring tools simply
    cannot provide.
-- Triple-Digit Sales Growth -- Despite shrinking IT budgets, dozens of
Global 1000 enterprise companies (including Microsoft, Nintendo, McAfee,
and Alaska Airlines) have deployed both the 1GbE and 10GbE ExtraHop
    appliance in their data centers.
-- Strategic Funding -- Led by Madrona Ventures Group, ExtraHop Networks
closed a Series A round of $5.1M in April 2009. The round also included a
strategic investment from Internet pioneer Marc Andreessen and former CEO
    of Opsware, Ben Horowitz.
-- Expansion of Sales Channel and Internal Team -- During the course of
2009, the company expanded its North American sales channel by signing
agreements with more than 15 channel partners. ExtraHop Networks is engaged
on all levels with these partners, from joint marketing and sales calls to
enablement and support. In addition, ExtraHop Networks more than doubled
its staff during 2009 in the critical areas of sales, product development,
    and customer support.
