"We received 111 applications for funding from across Canada. This clearly demonstrates the need for support among official language minority communities," says Kellie Garrett, FCC Senior Vice-President, Strategy, Knowledge and Reputation. "FCC is pleased to support these eight projects and recognize community efforts to enhance Canada's two official languages."

Community groups will have an opportunity to apply for the FCC Expression Fund from November 1 to December 15, 2010. Visit for eligibility requirements and more information.
