FP Newspapers Income Fund Announces Management Appointments

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 15, 2007) - Ronald Stern, Chairman of FP Newspapers Income Fund (TSX:FP.UN), is pleased to announce the following appointments:

Bob Cox, Editor and interim Publisher, becomes Publisher of the Winnipeg Free Press. Mr. Cox joined the Free Press in 2005 from the Globe and Mail, and began his newspaper career as a journalist at the Winnipeg Free Press in 1984. Mr. Cox will report to Mr. Stern.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Stern said, "As Editor of the Free Press, Bob demonstrated an impressive level of leadership skills and a real appreciation of the evolution taking place in the newspaper industry today. Bob's knowledge and approach should allow us to further benefit from the enormous talent pool that exists at the Winnipeg Free Press," he added.

Margo Goodhand, Deputy Editor and interim Editor, becomes Editor of the Winnipeg Free Press. Ms. Goodhand joined the Free Press in 1991, and began her newspaper career as a journalist at the Medicine Hat News in 1985. Ms. Goodhand will report to Mr. Cox.

"Margo has performed very well in her role as Deputy Editor, and through out her career at the paper," noted Mr. Stern. "Margo is the 14th Editor of the 135 year old Winnipeg Free Press, and is the first woman to be appointed to that position," he added.
