Family and Children's Services of Guelph, Ontario, Selects Serenic Navigator to Aid in Their Efforts to Provide Safe Environments for Children

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 23, 2009) - Serenic Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SER), ("Serenic" or the "Corporation"), a leading publisher of financial management and business operations software for nonprofits, international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the public sector, announced today that Serenic Navigator has been selected by Family and Children's Services of Guelph and Wellington, Ontario, (F&CS) to help deliver support services for families to ensure that children are protected from physical and emotional abuse or neglect.

F&CS is a charitable, nonprofit agency that is legislated and primarily funded by the provincial Ministry of Children and Youth Services. F&CS cares about the well-being and safety of children and wants to help families provide caring and safe environments for their children.

"Our current processes are manual and paper-based," said Director of Corporate Services Chris Tremeer. "We are implementing Serenic Navigator so that we can automate and improve these processes and be more efficient and effective stewards of the funds entrusted to us." Since Navigator is a true fund accounting solution, the organization will no longer need to manually balance their various funds at the end of each month.

F&CS will implement Serenic Navigator's core financial software, human resource and workflow modules, and several Web portals. "We are also implementing the Serenic Navigator Budgeting software to empower our service directors to be more budget-centric," said Tremeer. "Supporting our budgeting processes with an easy, user-friendly tool that non-accounting staff can use is a key goal."

"Serenic offers the most robust financial management suite in the industry," said Serenic CEO and President Randy Keith. "Organizations like Family and Children's Services realize what a critical role these systems can play during a time when there is absolutely no room for wasteful spending, and everyone from funders to board members need assurance that funds are being managed appropriately. With Navigator, F&CS will have the ability to quickly produce reports, both online and in print, at any time and show an accurate, up-to-date view of all financial data."

Serenic's ISV partnership with Microsoft and the fact that Navigator is powered by and certified for Microsoft Dynamics NAV were key factors in F&CS' decision to choose Serenic Navigator over several competitive products. The organization had just recently upgraded their entire IT environment to Microsoft SQL Server applications. For more information on Family and Children's Services of Guelph, visit www.fcsgw.org.
