'Father of the Internet' Vint Cerf to Keynote 2010 Southeast Venture Conference

4th Annual Conference Will Bring Hundreds of Venture Capitalists and Entrepreneurs to Northern Virginia in Late February

TYSONS CORNER, VA--(Marketwire - February 11, 2010) - Vint Cerf, widely known as a 'Father of the Internet' and current Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist for Google, is set to address attendees at the 2010 Southeast Venture Conference (SEVC) scheduled for February 24-25 at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Vint is the co-designer with Robert Kahn of the TCP/IP protocols and basic architecture of the Internet. In 2005, Vint and Bob received the highest civilian honor bestowed in the U.S., the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It recognizes the fact that their work on the software code used to transmit data across the Internet has put them "at the forefront of a digital revolution that has transformed global commerce, communication, and entertainment."

Since 2005, Vint has worked for Google as its Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist, where he has become well known for his predictions on how technology will affect future society, encompassing such areas as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, environmentalism and the transformation of the television industry and its delivery model among others.
