Feed The Children Acknowledges Teleperformance for Its Substantial Contribution to Help Flood Victims in the Philippines

Teleperformance's Citizen of the World Charitable Initiative Partners With Feed The Children to Help Victims of the Recent Floods in the Philippines

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--(Marketwire - December 14, 2009) - International hunger relief organization Feed The Children today announced its appreciation of Teleperformance's substantial contribution to succor Philippine flood victims. The Teleperformance Citizen of the World initiative provided 360,000 meals for children and families suffering as a result of the disaster.

Daniel Julien, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Teleperformance, said, "I am so proud of the Teleperformance team members for contributing so much to such a worthy cause and always working toward Citizen of the World's goal to help children in need."

"We want to thank Teleperformance for their generous, ongoing support," stated Tony Sellars, spokesperson for Feed The Children. "As a result, hundreds of thousands of meals have been immediately delivered to children and families in need."

Since 2006, Teleperformance's altruistic program, Citizen of the World, has been helping some of the world's most vulnerable infants and children meet their basic survival needs and ultimately reach their individual potential. The nonreligious, apolitical commitment is multi-faceted and includes funding and sponsorship for food, medical supplies, clothing, abandoned baby shelters in developing countries, computer donations to impoverished schools, and toys around the holidays. The contribution program accumulates individual donations by Teleperformance employees to generate significant sums, which in turn create a global crisis relief fund dedicated to providing immediate necessities during natural disasters. Teleperformance employees also volunteer their time and energy to help with global relief efforts. To optimize Citizen of the World, Feed The Children was selected as a global charitable partner based on global expertise in aiding infants and children in more than 160 countries worldwide.
