FilmL.A. Welcomes Todd Lindgren as Vice President of Communications

Nonprofit Film Office to Develop Integrated Communications Program

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 29, 2007) - FilmL.A., Inc. -- the local nonprofit that provides a crucial link between the entertainment industry and the communities that host-on-location production -- today announced the appointment of Todd Lindgren as vice president of communications. The first to serve in the newly created post, Lindgren will spearhead an integrated communications program to build and enhance relationships between FilmL.A. and its stakeholders.

"Todd is an ideal choice to help FilmL.A. tell its story," said FilmL.A. President Steve MacDonald. "His insights will help us deepen our community involvement and make FilmL.A. a more effective advocate for filming in Los Angeles."

Lindgren has broad experience in community and economic development and entertainment industry affairs. His past credits include serving as senior vice president and director of government affairs for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, where he spearheaded the Chamber's economic development initiatives and served as executive director of the East Hollywood Business Improvement District (BID).

While at the Chamber, Lindgren also stepped into the role of executive producer for the Hollywood Christmas Parade -- the largest single-day annual event in Los Angeles -- and worked with Hollywood's Honorary Mayor Johnny Grant to lead the Parade to two Local Emmy nominations and one win.

Lindgren was also active in the administration of former Los Angeles Mayor James K. Hahn. In his role as area director for communities in the North San Fernando Valley, Lindgren helped coordinate the delivery of City services to local residents, and resolved community concerns through the Neighborhood Service Cabinet. In recognition of his efforts, the Mid-Valley Chamber of Commerce awarded Lindgren its "Keyes Motors Spark Plug Award" in 2005 for outstanding public service.

A longtime Los Angeles resident, Lindgren holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in International Studies/Communication and German from Pepperdine University. Lindgren and his family reside in Woodland Hills.
