Financial Planning Week Launch Event

Financial Planning Vision 2020

Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO, MEDIA INVITATION/ADVISORY--(Marketwire - Oct. 2, 2009) - On October 5, FPSC will host a gathering in Toronto of key stakeholders for a half-day symposium:"Financial Planning Vision 2020". This event will launch Financial Planning Week (October 5-12).

Noteworthy speakers include: The Honourable John Wilkinson, Minister of Revenue for Ontario; Patricia Lovett Reid, SVP, TD Waterhouse; and Laurie Campbell, Executive Director, Credit Canada.

At the symposium, industry, regulatory, and other stakeholders will gather to discuss key issues integral to ensuring the financial planning needs of all Canadians are better served.

Spearheaded by Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC), the goal of the week is to raise awareness and invite a call to action to all stakeholders to collaborate and enact meaningful change to help make financial planning part of Canadians' lives.

The event is invitation only and will be recorded and shared with broader audiences at a later date.
