Finning Announces Major U.K. Equipment Sale to Tarmac Group

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 31, 2007) - Finning International Inc. ("Finning") (TSX:FTT) today announced that its United Kingdom based Caterpillar dealer operations have completed a multi-million dollar transaction with Tarmac Group for the sale of Caterpillar equipment, scheduled for delivery over 2007 and 2008. The deal will see Finning supply the vast majority of Tarmac's requirements for wheel loaders over the next two years as well as excavators, telehandlers and off-highway trucks. This is the first time that Tarmac has awarded such a significant portion of its wheel loader business to a single supplier.

"Finning's U.K.-wide presence and extensive service infrastructure formed a central element of our value proposition to Tarmac for this transaction."

The contract includes specified labour and maintenance rates in areas of the country where Tarmac has a significant population of machines, as well as the opportunity to utilize the "Caterpillar Certified Rebuild" program. Under this program, Finning completely disassembles and rebuilds old machines using Caterpillar parts, including components that have been upgraded since the machine was originally manufactured.
