Fire the Imagination Inc.: Canadian Distributor of Barefoot Books Matches US Prices

Deal inked with publisher in response to rising Canadian dollar

GUELPH, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 8, 2007) -

For Lifestyles/Arts and Business:

Effective immediately, Fire the Imagination, the Canadian distributor of international children's publisher Barefoot Books, will be shipping books to Canadian retailers with lowered prices as a result of the recent increase in value of the Canadian dollar. Negotiations with UK- and US-based publisher Barefoot Books have allowed Fire the Imagination to offer its clients US prices on all book titles.

"Fire the Imagination supplies independent toy shops, book stores and gift retailers across the country," says Kyle Tucker, Vice President of Fire the Imagination, "and our clients deserve to be able to sell Barefoot Books competitively. They will be in a position now to offer Barefoot Books to their customers at the printed US price."

Based in Guelph, Ontario, Fire the Imagination is confident that this decision to adjust prices of Barefoot Books will assist Canadian retailers working to restore consumer confidence in the Canadian book industry. Eleanor LeFave, owner of Toronto book store Mabel's Fables, comments, "Our customers will benefit in two ways; these are high quality books at unbelievable prices."

Fire the Imagination has been in existence since 2004 and in three years has grown to become a distributor not only of Barefoot Books, but also of over 2500 hand-picked selections of storytelling, musical and educational resources from around the world.
