Founded by The Bay Area Wine Project with the ultimate goal of advancing the profile of pinot noir, Pinot Days Southern California is a two-day celebration of pinot noir and its most brilliant winemakers, the vineyards, the grapes, and the often-bewitching process of urging the noble pinot grape into great wine. At Pinot Days, the winemakers and winery owners do the pouring, creating a uniquely engaging experience where wine enthusiasts can interact, ask questions and learn the stories behind what goes into making great pinot noir.

According to Pinot Days Producer Lisa Rigisich the expansion into Southern California is a homecoming of sorts. "Southern California's continuous innovation and pursuit of fine food and wine pair perfectly with the versatility of pinot noir," she said. "For years our winemakers and patrons have told us the Los Angeles area loves pinot noir and so it made sense for us to expand into this passionate and inventive food and wine community."

Pinot Days Southern California wine events include two hosted Winemakers "Table Hop" Dinners where wine lovers can enjoy an incredible pinot-paired dinner featuring 18 notable pinot noir producers in an intimate gathering with the gifted winemakers who produce them. The first Winemakers "Table Hop" Dinner will take place on January 14 at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Renowned chef Rich Mead will host the second "Table Hop" Dinner at Sage on the Coast on January 16. Visit for event details.

In addition, Pinot Days raises monies to support one IOCC charity each year. This year's Pinot Days Charity Auction Beneficiary is Ethiopia's HIV Victim Food Relief Effort, an organization that provides food to victims of HIV so that they can take the necessary medications to counter the disease. 92% of the monies raised for this cause will go directly to providing food to people in the greatest need. Pinot Days has raised over $61K to date for various beneficiaries.
