First Listing for Winning Brands' New CLEAN1™ Outdoor Cleaner

Canada's Home Hardware Group to Launch CLEAN1™Nationally

BARRIE, ON--(Marketwire - January 14, 2008) - Winning Brands Corporation (PINKSHEETS: WNBD), (FRANKFURT: WMU) reports that its CLEAN1™ brand of outdoor cleaner is being listed by Canada's well known Home Hardware chain -- a group of approximately 1,000 associated retailers located coast-to-coast. Home Hardware is a member of Alliance International LLC, the third-largest hardware and building materials partnership in North America. This alliance consolidates the purchasing power of industry giant Do It Best Corp. with Home Hardware Stores Ltd. The alliance distributes items to more than 5,400 retail members across North America.

CLEAN1™ is Winning Brands' eco-oriented solution for outdoor/indoor general purpose cleaning applications. CLEAN1™ is the follow-through product to the company's skin-friendly Winning Colours™ Stain Remover and KIND™ Laundry Products. CLEAN1™ is being positioned to become North America's leading outdoor general purpose cleaner, with indoor applications as well. In addition to household size packaging, CLEAN1™ will also be available in large commercial sizes, such as 20 litre (5 gallon) containers for convenience in the agricultural, commercial, industrial and military markets. Outdoor applications include vinyl siding, pool liners, patio furniture, sidewalks and walls, awnings, trucks and equipment, marine wash and more.

Winning Brands' National Sales Manager Patricia Dianne Miles thanks Home Hardware for their leadership in making CLEAN1™ available to consumers: "Home Hardware is a valued member of our much appreciated group of retail partners. We are honoured by this decision and the confidence that Home Hardware is placing in us to properly manage the introduction of this important new brand. Home Hardware is the perfect starting point for an environmentally oriented outdoor cleaner that is so versatile and easy to work with. We will be announcing the specific marketing timetable after the first deliveries take place in connection with the Home Hardware Spring Market."

Winning Brands Snr. V.P. Lorne Kelly points out that the brand personality of Winning Brands products is defined by the fact that they can be reached for first in their category, rather than as a last resort. "There will always be highly specialized products that are so narrow in their uses that the performance characteristics are ultra-specific. We have a different approach -- we'd like our products to be the ones that consumers use first because it will meet 80% of their needs with that first choice," Kelly notes.

Eric Lehner, CEO of Winning Brands group, remarks that Winning Brands Corporation is broadening its revenue sources for the benefit of shareholders. "We were disciplined to focus on Winning Colours® Stain Remover during the past 18 months in order to establish ourselves with a core group of national retailers and distributors who supply independent retailers. We wanted to ensure that our organization could function properly first, with strong emphasis on a leading product. Now we have infrastructure becoming more solid and can start to draw upon our portfolio of products for the benefit of these retailers and consumers. The key point is that the 2008 launch products do not encroach on each other's categories. They are distinct enough that every normal household benefits from having them all, not merely one or the other." Winning Brands has in the past described the progression that it expects through the phases of its business plan. Lehner adds "There is increasing reason to believe that the plans we set out were sound and that we are progressing nicely to the indicated model. We would rather be conservative and deliver the results, or improve on them, than engage in wishful thinking."

Continued improvement to Winning Brands' production efficiency at the Grand Rapids, Michigan facility of Surefil LLC is a contributing factor to this acceleration of launch activity in 2008. "Winning Brands is now in a position to manufacture a broader range of its products simultaneously, to virtually any foreseeable demand," concludes Lehner.
