First Narrows Appoints New Board Member

Victor Nowicki, M.Sc., P.Geo, CEAS, CCEP, Brings Environmental Management Expertise to the First Narrows' Board

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwire - January 18, 2008) - First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-V: UNO) (PINKSHEETS: FNRWF) ("First Narrows" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Victor Nowicki, M.Sc., P.Geo, CEAS, CCEP, to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Nowicki has over 35 years of environmental assessment, remediation and earth sciences experience related to base metal mine sites, nuclear, coal and oil fired generating stations, waste disposal sites and industrial processing facilities.

Mr. Nowicki graduated with Honours in Geology from University of London (UK) in 1969, followed by a Masters degree in Earth Sciences (Hydrogeology) in 1976 at the University of Waterloo (Canada). He is President of ARC Geobac Group Inc., an environmental consulting company he formed in 1990. He is also founding President of the New Brunswick Environmental Industry Association, and sits on the Boards of ECO Canada, and the Canadian Environmental Certification Approvals Board.
