First Nickel Inc.: Gerry Bilodeau Appointed as Vice President Operations

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 29, 2008) - First Nickel Inc. (TSX:FNI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gerry Bilodeau as Vice President - Operations, effective immediately. Mr. Bilodeau joined First Nickel as the General Manager - Sudbury Operations in March 2007.

In addition to Mr. Bilodeau's strong Leadership capabilities, he has many years of senior operations management experience with Falconbridge/Noranda, most notably as Mining Manager at the Kidd Mine D Project in Timmins and as Project Superintendent during development and construction at Falconbridge's remote Raglan Project in northern Quebec. He is experienced in all phases of underground mine operations and has a proven track record in managing development and construction projects and the building of effective operating and project teams.
