FishNet Security Delivers Industry's First Managed Security Service Provider Portal With Real-Time Device Analysis

KANSAS CITY, MO--(Marketwire - October 23, 2007) - FishNet Security, the nation's largest Information Security Solutions Provider, today announced the release of advanced device utilities to its Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) customers in an application portal. The portal, which gives customers visibility into behavior of their network devices in real-time and with easy access to other Managed Security Service Provider features, is part of the company's ongoing efforts to help customers improve their security posture.

"FishNet Security has developed a portal that provides our MSSP customers with an extensive array of real-time utilities. The features that we are unveiling to customers make this portal a significant advancement in the collaboration of customers and security professionals for improved security," says Gary Fish, CEO of FishNet Security.

The portal's utilities include high-level network analysis reports and device-level reports on current security policies and policy changes. The reports are provided directly to the customer, giving them real-time status monitoring of their managed systems. Additionally, customers can submit tickets to the Managed Security Service Provider group when changes must be made. The integration of workflow ticketing with visibility to real-time network data in a single Web application delivers the change control process that Fish and his team envisioned for their customers.

"Our security professionals worked with software development teams to create a set of tools to help our customers ensure security compliance," says Fish.

Security professionals from FishNet Security teamed up with security software developers from another Kansas City-based company, Secure Passage, to implement a few of the portal's key pieces: retrieval, analysis and delivery of real-time network device data.

"By implementing the proven technology behind FireMon, our industry-leading security device management solution, FishNet Security was able to quickly deliver a customer portal that no other MSSP could deliver," says Jody Brazil, EVP & CTO of Secure Passage. "FireMon's extensive, real-time device analysis enables FishNet to provide customers with complex network data in an easily accessible, intuitive format. This immediate network analysis coupled with FishNet's other critical Managed Security Service Provider utilities, gives FishNet Security a significant edge in the MSSP portal pool."

FishNet Security professionals continue to build upon the services foundation that in 2007 received accolades for providing excellence in sales and services, including awards from Check Point, Juniper Networks, IBM/ISS, Bluecoat Systems, RSA the Security Division of EMC, Secure Computing, and Websense.
