Fisher Communications' Hyperlocal Initiative Surpasses 1,000 Advertisers and 100 Neighborhood Sites

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - January 25, 2010) - Fisher Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSCI) today announced that its hyperlocal neighborhood sites have exceeded two milestones: over 1,000 advertisers and over 100 sites.

Fisher operates hyperlocal neighborhood sites in Seattle, Washington; Portland and Eugene, Oregon; Bakersfield, California and Boise, Idaho.

Fisher's hyperlocal sites bring together the Fisher television stations' valuable content and DataSphere Technologies' new LocalNet service, an online platform that provides technology, advertising and sales solutions.

Fisher and DataSphere distribute the technology and sales solution to other broadcast companies looking to establish hyperlocal sites in their communities.
