Fitness First Offers Strictly Fit to 11-18 Year Olds for New Let's Dance With Change 4 Life

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Feb. 24, 2010) - The International gym chain, Fitness First is offering its popular Strictly Fit group exercise class to 11-18 year olds as part of the government's new 'Let's Dance with Change 4 Life' campaign in a dedicated open weekend.

With Britain's Got Talent winners, the hit sensation dance group, Diversity fronting the campaign, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March will see all Fitness First clubs which offer Strictly Fit including gyms in London and Manchester, open their doors to encourage more young people to get active through the power of dance.

With a combination of exciting dance routines using moves from dances like the cha cha cha, waltz, quickstep, salsa and jive, Strictly Fit is a great low impact workout centred on aerobic moves, and you don't even have to be a member at Fitness First to participate.

"This campaign is a great way to make dance available to young people and Diversity are a great inspiration. Our Strictly Fit classes based on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing don't require any previous dancing experience, just the enthusiasm to get active and have a great time", said Derek Crawford, the UK National Fitness Manager for Fitness First.

The clubs will allow those between the ages of 11 to 18 years old, to get involved in the one hour Strictly Fit classes on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of March between 2-4pm.

Both members and non-members are welcome to get involved, and can do so for free, by either completing an online booking form on www.change4life.com/dance,  or if you're an existing member of the Fitness First gyms on www.fitnessfirst.co.uk/strictly.
