Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Offers Guests the Grandest of Tasting Experiences at the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village

Plus, Don't Miss the Epic Anthony Bourdain vs. Eric Ripert Battle on the Beach

MIAMI BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - February 1, 2010) - The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Food & Wine is pleased to announce that there is still time to get tickets for the ultimate tasting experience -- the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village featuring the American Express Grand Tasting Tents -- at the 2010 Festival. Whether you are new to the culinary scene or a dedicated foodie, a wine novice or aficionado, the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village is a must-attend event at the Festival. Even though Saturday is sold-out, you can still get tickets for Sunday, February 28, 2010 at

"There's a multi-cultural dynamic in South Beach that adds to the flavor," says renowned chef and Festival veteran participant Todd English. "We can never forget that food and wine should be fun. It should be a party. And what better place to do it, with guys that really know how to throw a party?"

With Super Bowl XLIV taking place in Miami just a few weeks before, the Festival is pleased to offer its own Super Sunday package for those truly looking for a great deal and a big party! For $249* guests can experience both the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village AND Guy Fieri's Luna En Fuego Party co-presented by Gnarly Head Wines and the Miami New Times -- the Festival's official closing party, both on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

The Festival is known for its lavish, star-studded soirees, but there is nothing quite like the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village, which consists of over a quarter-mile of tasting tents and demonstration stages set right into the soft white sands of Miami Beach with the lull of waves from Atlantic Ocean serenading guests. Culinary all-stars like Emeril Lagasse, Anne Burrell, Paula Deen, Guy Fieri, Rocco DiSpirito and much more will be on-hand all day long to delight guests. Whether they are on the KitchenAid stage sharing their secrets or signing copies of their latest book in the Books & Books tent, you can be sure that these rock stars chefs and culinary personalities are going to make it a party!

Attendees of the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village on 2/28 will not want to miss the ultimate culinary showdown -- author and "No Reservations" star Anthony Bourdain vs. renowned chef Eric Ripert (Le Bernardin, New York) for "Death Match On The Beach: Battle Fish." Two men in and one man out, as this titan of haute cuisine -- and the other guy -- face-off against each other in an epic mystery basket challenge to see who, finally, can make the best fish dish. And only at the Festival can the audience be the judge!

New this year is Sandra Lee's Cocktail Time Clinic Tent presented by Diageo, a tent dedicated to the art of entertaining where master mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, along with Ingrid Hoffmann and Robert Irvine, will each explore a variety of concoctions -- both shaken and stirred.

Tickets are still available, and can be purchased online at or by calling 877.762.3933. Follow Festival Founder and Director Lee Schrager all year long at
