Former Director of the National Cyber Security Division of Homeland Security to Deliver Keynote at Data Protection Summit 2008

Amit Yoran, CEO of Netwitness Corporation, to Address "Why Data Protection Programs Fail"

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - January 9, 2008) - The second annual Data Protection Summit 2008 (www.dataprotectionsummit.com), the only full-scale data security event in Southern California, will feature a keynote address from Amit Yoran, Chairman and CEO of Netwitness, a leading provider of next generation network monitoring solutions. Data Protection Summit is scheduled for March 11-13, 2008 at the Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport in Irvine, California. Mr. Yoran will present to the attendees on Wednesday, March 12 from 8:30 - 9:00am.

In his keynote address, Yoran will provide his insight into why numerous data protection programs fail and how to prevent these failures in the future. With his immense experience and knowledge in the network security domain, he will provide a vision for both public as well as private organizations and guide them in the right direction to avoid future network security failures. Yoran's focus in the keynote address will help Data Protection Summit attendees to:

-- Understand the reasons why data protection programs fail. Case studies
from public agencies and private companies will be used to justify the
    point.
-- Investigate their current programs for the deficiencies and
shortcomings in their approach that invariably lead to security failures.
Relevant issues such as technology limitations, incorrect prioritizing, and
    process gaps will be covered.
-- Design a forward-thinking approach to avoid future data protection
failures, ensure the protection of consumers' and citizens' data, and
maintain the integrity of critical infrastructure.

"There is an increase in information security program failures despite continued security investments and implementation of standards and regulations in the industry," said Yoran. "This keynote will address the challenges of cyber security faced by all organizations today and will outline recommendations for improvements in the network infrastructure, along with the technology solutions organizations should utilize to successfully implement a reliable and efficient enterprise security program."
