Former President Clinton Speaks in Niagara Region

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 16, 2007) - The 2007 Ontario Economic Summit (OES), an initiative of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), will begin with a keynote address by The Honorable William Jefferson Clinton, 42nd President of the United States.

"We're very excited to be able to bring President Clinton to the Niagara region," explains Len Crispino, President & CEO of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. "The former President has brought a keen focus to the idea of shared responsibility, an issue we also have identified at OES, and one that inspires this year's OES theme of "stewardship"."

During the three day summit, Ontario's corporate, government, labour and academic leaders will explore how they must work together to take responsibility for the competitiveness of Ontario's communities, infrastructure renewal and development, and our international accountabilities.

Former President Clinton provides an influential voice in the efforts to raise awareness about the challenges that arise from global interdependence, and the importance of working together to address issues such as climate change, global health and poverty alleviation.

President Clinton will address the Grand Opening Reception of OES on November 13th. Other confirmed speakers at the 2007 Ontario Economic Summit include:
