Former Yahoo! Exec John Marcom, Jr. Joins AdGent 007 as COO

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2008) - AdGent 007 (www.adgent007.com), a global digital ad services firm dedicated to monetizing the growing amounts of international traffic to premium Web sites, has announced the appointment of John E. Marcom, Jr. as chief operating officer. Marcom, 50, brings extensive experience as an executive and journalist for both old and new media businesses around the world, including Yahoo!, Time Inc. and the Financial Times.

"We're thrilled to have a high-powered, experienced executive like John to direct our expansion efforts," said Cameron Yuill, founder and CEO of AdGent 007. "His global industry expertise and unique perspective are the perfect match for AdGent 007's business model, and we anticipate exponential growth under his leadership."

"AdGent 007 is creating a wave of change in online media by helping publishers unlock the value from increasing international reach, and enabling brand advertisers to stay connected to an audience that is increasingly sophisticated and adventurous in its use of the Web," said Marcom. "I'm excited by the innovative approach and early groundswell behind AdGent 007 and look forward to helping the team multiply its successes across the globe."

Previously Marcom led Yahoo! Inc.'s global expansion as the senior vice president overseeing operations outside the U.S. During his tenure, Yahoo!'s international revenues grew ten-fold, fueled by acquisitions and the rapid development of Internet advertising markets. Before joining Yahoo!, Marcom was president, FT Americas at London's Financial Times, where he led the North American publishing businesses and served on the board of CBS Marketwatch.

Prior to the FT, Marcom was head of revenue at AtomFilms (eventually acquired by Viacom), leading a team driving pioneering efforts in online syndication, video advertising and mobile content offerings.

Before joining AtomFilms, Marcom was president of Time Inc. International, following more than a decade as a reporter in Japan, the United States and Europe. Marcom graduated from Princeton summa cum laude and received an MBA from INSEAD, the European Institute of Business Administration.

In today's global online marketplace, more than 50 percent of traffic to major premium sites is coming from international locations, yet this growing audience segment is not being monetized effectively. AdGent 007 was created to help premium publishers and brand advertisers capitalize on international traffic with more transparency, effectiveness and revenue than is currently available through the traditional ad network model. AdGent 007 directly represents more than 300 premium properties around the globe, offering media buyers worldwide a unique ability to build effective campaigns that reach their specific target audiences wherever they travel on the Web, increasing conversion rates and revenue.
