Fortified Holdings NOMAD Incident Command Platform Purchased by U.S. Coast Guard Deployable Operations Group

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - October 4, 2007) - Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom ( has been awarded a procurement order from the United States Coast Guard ("USCG") Deployable Operations Group.

Established July 20, 2007, the Deployable Operations Group under the command of Rear Adm. Thomas F. Atkin, aligns all Coast Guard deployable specialized forces under a single unified command comprised of approximately 3,000 Coast Guard personnel from 12 Maritime Safety and Security Teams, the Maritime Security Response Team, two Tactical Law Enforcement Teams, eight Port Security Units, three National Strike Teams and the National Strike Force Coordination Center. The command provides organized, equipped, and trained forces to Coast Guard and interagency operational and tactical commanders in response to emergency situations.

The procurement comes as a successful outcome to a full and open competition and includes several NOMAD C4 XSB systems employing Mobile Mesh Networking Technology, full satellite communications capability and a multiyear service agreement. Fortified's Management believes that these are the first systems of their kind to be acquired by the USCG. Based on performance, other groups that comprise over 40,000 active duty Coast Guard members will now have the opportunity to experience firsthand the benefits of NOMAD command & control systems, thereby providing a launching pad for potential sales throughout the organization.

With this announcement, the Coast Guard joins FEMA, DHS, the US Air Force, NORTHCOM's Joint Task Force for Civil Support, the City of New Orleans and others currently deploying Fortified's NOMAD systems.
