FortiusOne Features GeoCommons Appliance at GEOINT

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - November 7, 2007) - FortiusOne showcased its GeoCommons Appliance in a Lockheed Martin-led geospatial intelligence demo at the GEOINT symposium last week. The demo showed how the GeoCommons product, in conjunction with other products from numerous other commercial industry partners, could provide an effective geospatial intelligence solution for today's complex threat environments.

Map-based geospatial intelligence is widely used in Homeland Security, Military, and Intelligence applications to facilitate analysis, decision support, and operations management. However, the production and use of geospatial intelligence is increasingly hindered by:

--  The need for specialized GIS experts to process data;
--  An inability to incorporate dynamic data, especially from field users;
-- Limited mechanisms for sharing and collaborating.

FortiusOne's GeoCommons products provide intelligent mapping solutions that enable government customers to enhance mission effectiveness by:

-- Simplifying the analysis and visualization of complex geospatial
    information by non-technical users, with browser accessibility from
-- Expanding geospatial data collection to all levels inside and outside
    the organization, including field users; and
-- Accelerating the sharing of information and growth of collective
    intelligence throughout the organization with Web 2.0 technologies.

"Democratizing geospatial intelligence is a core mission of FortiusOne that we deliver through the GeoCommons intelligent mapping platform," said Sean Gorman, CEO at FortiusOne. "We are excited to partner with Lockheed Martin to accelerate the delivery of next-generation geospatial intelligence solutions to our government customers."
