Forum Uranium Corp.: Nunavut Approves Uranium Exploration and Mining

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 25, 2007) - Forum Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FDC) received news that the Board of Directors of Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. ("NTI"), the organization that is responsible for the management of all Inuit Owned Lands in Nunavut and acts as the advocate of Inuit interests in Nunavut has unanimously approved a policy concerning uranium mining in Nunavut. The guiding principle of the policy is that uranium exploration and mining must be carried out in an environmentally and socially responsible way and the uranium that results from the mining shall be used only for peaceful and environmentally friendly purposes. This bodes well for Forum's strategically located North Thelon Joint Venture ("NTJV") uranium exploration project, located adjacent to AREVA's Kiggavik-Sissons 130 million pound uranium deposit.

Forum and joint venture partner Superior Diamonds have just completed a two and half month exploration program on the NTJV project. Rick Mazur, Forum President & CEO stated, "We are extremely pleased with the geological and prospecting evaluation from this summer's program and anticipate assay results in the coming months. Plans are already being made to conduct airborne geophysical surveys followed by a planned diamond drilling program in the summer of 2008."

Nunavut territory already has three mineral deposits currently in production, or permitted for production: Tahera's Jericho Diamond Mine, Miramar's Hope Bay Gold deposit and Agnico Eagle's Meadowbank Gold deposit.

Mr. Mazur further stated, "This is a very positive development for the uranium industry and the Territory of Nunavut. Forum, as operator of the NTJV project, will work closely with local communities to assure that health, safety and environmental standards are upheld during our exploration activities."
