Franklin Wireless Launches CGU-628 Mobile Broadband USB Modem for HSDPA Networks

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - Franklin Wireless Corp. (OTCBB: FKLT), a developer and marketer of wireless broadband communications devices and applications, today unveiled the Franklin Wireless CGU-628 HSDPA mobile broadband USB modem, a compact, light-weight device that enables global connectivity.

The Franklin Wireless CGU-628 offers the flexibility of HSDPA in tri-band 850/1900/2100 MHz and in quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz capability. The CGU-628 provides high-speed connectivity to HSDPA networks with data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps.

The extremely compact CGU-628 USB modem, available in 4Q 2007, weighs just 25 grams and provides a flexible way for users to connect to the ultra-fast HSDPA network since it is compatible with any laptop, tablet PC or desktop USB port and operates with Windows and Macintosh operating systems.

One differentiating feature of the CGU-628 product is the onboard flash memory, which eliminates the need for a CD or CD drive to install the factory pre-stored connection software for PC and Mac computers. Users also have enough space to store downloaded music files, documents and installation guide.

Another unique feature includes a patent-pending swiveling USB connector, which allows the modem to be raised vertically for improved radio frequency performance or folded away when not in use.

"The CGU-628 USB modem demonstrates Franklin Wireless' continual leadership in delivering wireless broadband USB modems that incorporate high-end features," said Mr. Nick Lim, executive vice president of Franklin Wireless. "We are pleased to offer customers a multi-platform connectivity solution that will enable them to connect anywhere, anytime."

Franklin Wireless products are marketed through Original Equipment Manufacturers ("OEMs") and distributors, as well as directly to operators and end users.
