Free Ingredients for Thanksgiving Meal Offered at Downsview Park This Sunday

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 2, 2007) - Parc Downsview Park Inc. (PDP), the Downsview Park Merchant's Market and the Downsview Park Farmer's Market are pleased to offer free ingredients for your family's thanksgiving meal.

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, starting at 11 a.m., the first 240 visitors at the Downsview Park Merchant's Market, located at 40 Carl Hall Road at Downsview Park, will receive a free frozen 5-7kg Maple Leaf turkey, courtesy of the Downsview Park Merchant's Market, a free 5lb. bag of potatoes, courtesy of the Downsview Park Farmer's Market and a free can of cranberry sauce to complement your meal, courtesy of PDP.

"Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our values and be thankful for all that is special to us in our lives," said Tony Genco, President and CEO of PDP. Doors open at the Downsview Park Merchant's Market at 10 a.m. Turkeys, potatoes and cranberry sauce will be distributed on a first come - first served basis.

"Offering free ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal is a perfect way for us to say 'thank you' to the community and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving."

Community members interested in receiving these free ingredients for their Thanksgiving meal are asked to bring a copy of this announcement with them.

The Downsview Park Merchant's Market opened May 2005 and features over 500 vendors offering a variety of products including clothing, electronics, furniture, drapery, bedding and bath items, shoes, accessories, jewellery and more.
