Futura Appoints Terry Rumsey as Executive Vice Chairman

Former Carlson Marketing President Brings Over 20 Years of Marketing Services and Loyalty Experience

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 3, 2009) - The Futura Loyalty Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FUT)("Futura" or the "Company"), a marketing and loyalty services company that helps merchants grow their business by better understanding and influencing their customers' purchasing behavior, today announced that Terry Rumsey will be appointed as Executive Vice Chairman of its board of directors.

Terry will play a significant day-to-day management role at Futura by helping the Company execute its sales plan and strategic direction. Terry is a former President of Carlson Marketing Canada. Under Terry's leadership, Carlson Marketing grew from 75 to 500 employees and experienced a fivefold increase in its annual revenue. Carlson was recently ranked as the number one agency in strategy and direct marketing and number four in interactive in Canada.

"Marrying traditional media spend and transactional data so as to measure Return on Marketing Investment is a great opportunity" said Terry Rumsey. "Being able to actually measure if a customer made a purchase based on an ad, direct, online or other offer brings a measurable return on investment to marketing spend that previously has not existed for many merchants. I believe that Futura has the potential to become a key player in cutting edge marketing services for retailers. I look forward to working with the executive management team to bring Futura to the next level in its evolution".

Over the last year, Futura has developed a series of services and applications to help merchants achieve better return on their marketing and loyalty program investments by understanding true consumer behaviour through transactional data. Merchants can offer more cost effective and relevant offers and services tailored to existing customers to ensure that they keep coming back to buy more and to acquire new customers that can be converted into loyal repeat purchasers.

"The addition of Terry is very exciting for the entire management team and further proof that Futura is moving in an exciting direction with its loyalty platform, which we anticipate will continue with additional momentum now that he is on board", said Mark Farrell, president and chief executive officer of Futura. "Having successfully run a major loyalty and marketing agency, Terry's experience, contacts and guidance will be invaluable to Futura."

As part of his duties, Terry will drive the Company's strategic direction as well as provide guidance to the sales team leveraging his extensive sales and sales management experience over his career, which has included senior positions at McGraw Hill Information Systems and The Donalco Group of Companies prior to joining Carlson Marketing in 1987 as Vice President Sales.

Terry will be replacing Byron Holland who resigned from the board effective today. Byron was a founder of the Company and a board member since its inception. His ongoing contributions and guidance throughout his tenure as a board member and previously as a member of senior management has been invaluable. The board and management thank Byron for all his contributions and look forward to his ongoing support as a shareholder of the Company.
