GBG Merger Meets Challenges of North American Wine

WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 4, 2005) - Number one Software
Choice for Distributors

GBG announced today its decision to merge with Charlotte, NC-based
Distribution Information Systems Corp, as part of its ongoing effort to
create complete in-house solutions for wine and spirit distributors.

The merger and the addition of DISC'S route accounting system, Beverage
Management Information System™ (BMIS), makes GBG the number one sales
and distribution software choice for the wine industry.

As it continues to grow and consolidate, the wine industry requires a
system that meets today's challenges, noted DISC President Timothy
Powers. "This merger will enable our wine and spirit customers to access
GBG's extensive product suite, tools which will deliver our customers a
competitive edge."

This latest transaction with DISC follows closely on the heels of GBG's
recent merger with Beverage Solutions Inc. (BSI) another leading
provider of software for wine and spirit distributors.

GBG CEO Ted Hastings said "this merger with DISC is a clear indicator of
the future of the sales and distribution software market. Like the wine
business itself, where our customers are experiencing rapid
consolidation, the software industry that supports them is also coming
together. We know from our own experiences, bringing together eight
companies over the past two and a half years that organizations such as
DISC thrive on their ability to offer superior service to a select
market. But we have also seen that these companies did not have the
resources or financial capacity to build the next generation of software
needed by their customers."

Martin Machen, Vice President of DISC echoed those sentiments. "It's a
win-win relationship. With GBG's Software 4 Life (SW4L) program DISC
customers now have access to state-of-the-art mobile computing, business
intelligence, warehouse management and next generation route accounting
solutions at affordable prices and from a single vendor."

GBG and DISC will be hosting a conference in early February, 2005 to
introduce the DISC user community to the GBG product family in
Charlotte, North Carolina.
