GUESS and MTV Come Together for a Night of Shopping and Charity

World Renowned Fashion Brand Teams up with MTV's Peak Season to Support The Heart and Stroke Foundation

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2010) - GUESS, the American lifestyle brand, famous for its trend setting denim and unforgettable campaigns, and MTV, are thrilled to celebrate an exciting new season of spring fashion in honor of 2010 Olympic Games being held in Vancouver. GUESS will host a private cocktail reception, along with Peak Season stars and co-hosts, Lauren Horton and Ian Ross. This exclusive event, to benefit the Heart and Stroke Foundation, will take place at the GUESS Robson Street location on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.

Peak Season is a half-hour original documentary series on MTV that takes an unfiltered look at a tight-knit group of 20-somethings coming of age in the world-renowned resort town of Whistler, BC. Every town has stories and secrets, but few rival the ones uncovered in this reality series, which takes the viewer behind the scenes of one of Canada's most coveted resort ski destinations.

Peak Season cast members, Lauren Horton and Ian Ross, are the perfect fit to host this shopping event, bringing the Whistler spirit to the heart of Vancouver. Both cast members are Whistler transplants from Ontario and Newfoundland, respectively, who came to Whistler to work, play and discover themselves. Then there is local Dre Morel, guest DJ for the event, who yearns to escape the Whistler bubble while committing his energy to his DJ career.

Local tastemakers and influentials will enjoy specialty cocktails while shopping the seasons newest fashion styles. A portion of the evening's proceeds will benefit The Heart and Stroke Foundation, an organization that is dedicated to eliminating heart disease and stroke while reducing their impact through the advancement of research and promotion of healthy living.

Along with every purchase, shoppers will have the chance to sign up for GUESS List, the loyalty program from GUESS, as well as receive an exclusive gift with purchase including products from GUESS, M.A.C, Dermalogica and many more. Guests will also receive a 20% discount on their purchase when they donate a minimum of $5 to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
