Need a pack of gum and want to pay your cell phone bill at the same time? No problem. Customers will soon be able to do both on their way home from work. With 152 Toronto outlets in TTC stations, GO stations and major downtown buildings, Gateway offers more locations than any other retailer in the downtown core. And now, Public Mobile customers can buy a phone or pay their bill at any of those spots.

"Gateway is the perfect partner. They're everywhere we want to be. Public Mobile wants to make it easy and convenient for customers to own a cell phone. What could be more convenient than making your payment, or buying a new phone on your subway ride home?" said Public Mobile CEO, Alek Krstajic.

"Gateway and Public Mobile share the same target market. Our customers are their customers. We've aligned ourselves with Public Mobile because they understand the importance of providing simple and affordable service to hard working Canadians," said Michael Aychental, CEO of Gateway Newstands.

Public Mobile signs and/or kiosks will begin opening in Gateway locations in Toronto and Montreal over the next few months.

Wide-spread and Focused Distribution

Combined with the 66 Public Mobile stores that are already open in Toronto and Montreal, Public Mobile will have in excess of 200 retail locations exclusively dedicated to selling Public Mobile phones in Toronto and Montreal.

"We realize the importance of stores exclusively selling our products versus signing up huge numbers of retailers who are not dedicated to the plans, by offering other telecom products. In addition to Public Mobile services, Gateway will continue to provide its customers with its full range of newsstand items," added Krstajic.
