Gemini Corporation Appoints New Director

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 9, 2008) - Gemini Corporation (TSX VENTURE:GKX) is pleased to announce that Mr. Jim Crittall has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Corporation. Mr Crittall is a retired oil and gas industry executive and most recently was President of Natco Canada Ltd., a manufacturer of oil and gas production and process equipment. He has held various senior management positions, primarily in the service sector, and over his 35 year career with Natco has gained valuable experience and insight into manufacturing and engineering for oil and gas applications.

Mr. Crittall's background and experience will benefit the Corporation with respect to its strategy to significantly expand its field services business. Gemini, through its Kinetic Projects division, is recognized as a quality fabricator and constructor of processing modules for heavy oil and other applications. The Corporation currently has a significant backlog of fabrication and construction projects with inquiries and opportunities continuing to be received from existing and new clients which may necessitate increased capacity. Management is currently examining alternatives to expand capacity to meet the growing demand for services and achieve improved profitability.

In accordance with the Corporation's option plan, Mr. Crittall has been awarded 100,000 share purchase options at an exercise price of $0.39 per share, which was the closing market price on January 8, 2008. The options are valid for four years and vest one-third immediately and the remainder at one-third on each of the next two anniversary dates.

"I look forward to having Mr. Crittall's counsel and input on our go forward plans", stated Carl Johnson, Gemini's President and CEO. "His experience within the service sector broadens the knowledge and experience base available from our Board and will strengthen the Corporation for the future."
