Mitzel and Beale to Streamline Systems and Processes

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - September 27, 2007) - General Environmental Management, Inc. ("GEM") (OTCBB: GEVI), a leading environmental and waste remediation company, announced today that Bill Mitzel has assumed the additional role of president. "The additional title demonstrates Bill's expanded role with the company as we continue to execute our business model," commented Tim Koziol, GEM CEO.

Mitzel's first initiative, along with John Beale, GEM executive vice president of sales, will be spearheading a company-wide process improvement program. "GEM today is a result of merging five separate independent service providers. We have enjoyed tremendous revenue growth during our first few years. As we prepare for future growth, we are in the process of streamlining our standard systems and processes to gain even further operating efficiencies," said Bill Mitzel, GEM president & COO. The improved systems, related to cost control and customer acquisition, will roll-out during Q4 and be in place for FY 2008.
