Geologix (TSX VENTURE:GIX)(FRANKFURT:GF6) is pleased to report continued success with it's trenching program at the San Agustin Property in Durango, Mexico. Trench "V" assayed 246 metres grading 0.81 g/t Au, 14 g/t Ag and 0.14% Zn with a higher grade sub interval of 57 metres grading 2.56 g/t Au, 9.7 g/t Ag and 0.28% Zn in the southern portion of the trench. In the Zone 2 area, the surface mineralization has been extended to 700 metres wide and increased 500 metres on strike including previously reported trenches. Directly north of the Main Zone, trench mineralization has expanded the Main Zone to 400 metres wide. Surface mineralization is now identified over 2.2 kilometres on strike during the past 12 months of exploration on the project and remains open in all directions. (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf).

ZONE 2 AND MAIN ZONE NORTH EXTENSION TRENCHING:

Trenches "V", "L" (Trench L previous news release Aug 1, 2007 www.geologix.ca/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=199954) "M" and "T" have extended Zone 2 and the Main Zone to the north and have defined a new area of mineralization up to 300 metres wide and 1,000 metres long. Total width in Zone 2 now measures 700 metres wide.. These trenches have returned some of the best assay results over the longest intervals to date on the property. The effects of the trenching results are best understood by opening the attached plan map. (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf).

Trench "T" (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf) is a 108 metre extension of the Main Zone towards the north. The trench exhibits similar values to "Geologix' signature trench" (Trench "F") in the Main Zone that was successfully drilled and previously released in hole SA-95 (0.99 g/t Au, 6.9 g/t Ag, 0.00% Pb, 0.32 % Zn over 262 metres) on April 3, 2007.

Trench "W", located furthest to the west in Zone 2 (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf), is located in an area of poor outcrop exposure with little geological control. Bedrock was not reached in all areas within the trench. Drill testing is scheduled for this area.

ZONE 2 SOUTH WEST EXTENSION TRENCHING

Previously reported trenching (news release December 19, 2006 www.geologix.ca/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=163598) in the southwest extension of Zone 2 has identified similar values to those encountered in trenches that were drilled successfully by Geologix in holes SA-96 and SA-97. These Trenches "B", "B-South" and "K" (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf) have indicated that mineralization extends an additional 500 metres south west over a 400 metre width.

ZONE 3 EXTENSION TRENCHING

Trench "Q" is the most north-westerly trench on the property to date (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf). Typical of this region, mineralization appears to be in more discrete structures, precious metals dominant, but with higher grades. Trench "Q" intercepted 15 metres of 0.58 g/t Au and 26.9 g/t Ag.

ZONE 4 TRENCHING:

Trench "P" indicates the broad extension of Zone 4 to the southwest. Trenches "R" and "S" to the northwest appear to track the extension of Zone 4 to the northeast in a more "stringer" fashion of mineralization, similar to the stringer appearance of mineralization in the northeastern part of the Main Zone as well as in Zone 3. Bulk tonnage type targets are prevalent in the southwestern areas of the Main Zone Zone 2 and Zone 4 areas. (see attached map http://www.geologix.ca/i/pdf/2007-10-02_NRM.pdf).

President and CEO Dunham Craig states "The project continues to impress us with the size of the mineralized footprint and we consider the size potential to develop a large bulk minable deposit exists. Higher grade zones are being discovered as we advance the project with increased drilling and trenching. We are expanding our drilling program and we expect more of these higher grade zones to come as we drill. In addition, as we continue our work we are seeing a consistency in grades and styles of mineralization that bode well for project development and geological modeling; two equally important aspects to the future of the project."

Drilling Progress

To date on the project, Geologix has completed 33 drill holes (7,950 metres) of which 11 drill holes (3,377 metres) have been assayed and released. Drilling is expected to complete a total of 15,000 metres by December 2007. As a result of the new areas defined by trenching, the company has expanded its drilling program an additional 5,000 metres of drilling (total 20,000 metres) to test the San Agustin extension zones and the adjacent Consejo Property. Drilling is expected to continue well into or past the 1st quarter of 2008. Results will be released as complete assays have been received for drill holes on individual sections within the property.

Qualified Person

Geologix's President and CEO, Dunham L. Craig, B.Sc., P. Geo., a 'qualified person' for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Properties of the Canadian Securities Administrators, has verified the data (including sampling, analytical and test data) and prepared or supervised the preparation of the information contained in this new release.

Quality Assurance & Control

The Company has implemented a quality assurance and control (QA/QC) program to ensure sampling and analysis of all exploration work is conducted in accordance with the best possible practices. The drill core is sawn in half with half of the core samples shipped to ALS Chemex Laboratory Services Limited in Vancouver, British Columbia for analysis. The other half of the core is retained for future assay verification. The QA/QC policy includes the chain of custody monitoring, insertion of blanks, standards and duplicates in the initial samples submitted. The laboratory provides an additional internal control program.
