Geologix Explorations Inc.: San Agustin Trench Results Doubles Strike Length of Mineralization. Drilling Has Commenced

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 18, 2007) - Geologix Explorations Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GIX)(FWB:GF6) is pleased to report the results from the final three trenches "A", "B" and "D" at the San Agustin gold/silver/zinc property in Durango State, Mexico. Trenches "C", "E" and "F" were previously reported on December 19, 2006. Trench results indicate the strike length of the primary gold zone (northeast gold zone) has been extended 500m to the southwest and therefore doubled the strike to 1km. Exploration also indicates this zone is open to the northeast, southwest and at depth.

The current inferred resource at San Agustin is 11.22 million tonnes averaging 0.96 grams per tonne of gold and 12.86 grams per tonne of silver (346,000 ounces of gold, 4.6 million ounces of silver) (NI 43-101 compliant). These resources are calculated over a strike length of approximately 500m and are centered on a regional NE trending structural corridor which has been the focus of exploration activity in the past.

Details of the results and their significance are as follows; (See Fig. 1, http://www.geologix.ca/i/misc/gix-jan172007-fig1.gif)

(i)Previously reported

Trenches "E" and "F" were excavated above historic drill holes to establish a "trench signature". Trench "F" was excavated above drill hole SA-71 which contained 1.0 g/t Au, 12 g/t Ag over 171 metres and drill hole SA-34 which contained 1.71 g/t Au, 199 g/t Ag over 184 metres. Stepping out 400m and 500m respectively along strike to the southwest from trench "F", trench "C" and "B" were excavated in an area of no previous drilling. (See Fig. 2, http://www.geologix.ca/i/misc/gix-jan172007-fig2.gif)

Results from trench "C" and "B" indicate the presence of gold/silver/zinc mineralization similar to the trenches over the known resource.

Of particular interest are similar grades obtained in trenches "C" and "F". Historic drill holes SA-71 and SA-34 below trench "F" clearly indicate higher gold/silver grades below the trenches. (See Fig. 1, http://www.geologix.ca/i/misc/gix-jan172007-fig1.gif) The grades obtained in trenches "B" and "C" indicates that drill testing is warranted along the southwest extension of the gold trend.

A total of 135 soil samples were collected in an area of no exposure southwest and along strike of the known resource. These soil samples were intended to validate historic soil samples collected in the area as well as to evaluate the strike extension of the northeast gold trend. Geochemical results vary from 0.02 - 1.12 g/t gold, 2.0 g/t - 157 g/t silver and 0.07% - 0.39% zinc. Coincident gold/silver/zinc anomalies are apparent and are located away from historic drill testing.

Both soil and trench results affirm the Company's geological interpretation of a continuous zone of gold/silver/zinc mineralization along the southwest trend

Continuing evaluation of previous and current exploration data indicates other areas within the property warrant follow-up exploration programs.

San Agustin surface project work is complete and the 2007 drill program has commenced.

Geologix will be exhibiting at the Cambridge conference in Vancouver, BC January 21-22, 2007- Booth 1322.
