"Girls Gone Geek" and Leo Laporte Announce Pre-MacWorld Podcast Production Seminar

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 3, 2008) - The girls from the wildly popular podcast, "Girls Gone Geek" (GGG), are hosting a free podcast production seminar featuring the innovative podcast producer and host, Leo Laporte.

"Girls Gone Geek Academy" will consist of two sessions:

-- In Part One, "Geek Out!: A Podcasting How-To," the girls will walk attendees through the basics of producing a well-rounded, well-produced podcast. They'll offer tips and share their workflow for shooting a video podcast... as they actually shoot a vidcast live for an upcoming show.

-- In Part Two, GGG co-hosts Asiana, Staci, Heather, Liana Lehua and Maria will engage in a lively audience chat titled, "I'm a Geek, You're a Geek, We're All a Bunch of Girl Geeks."

"This is an awesome way to empower and inspire our audience to 'go geek,'" said GGG co-host Staci Degagne. "By offering tips on podcast production, they too can share and talk about their interests... and whatever they want to 'go geek' about."
