Global Chinese Financial Forum Presents Inaugural "China Investment Symposium" Featuring China Experts on Trends in the Chinese Market

TORONTO--(Marketwire - October 29, 2007) - The inaugural China Investment Symposium, the first in Canada specifically tailored for China-Canada investment, was successfully held last week, in conjunction with the seventh annual 2007 Global Chinese Financial Forum -- Toronto Conference. The two-day event, the largest ever in the series, provided rich, up-to-the-minute insight into the nuances and trends of the Chinese market to a broad Canadian and Chinese investor audience.

The Day 1 event -- China Investment Symposium, featured expert speakers from both Canada and China, commenting on the hottest current issues in finance and the economy in China. Adding significantly to the symposium, several experts travelled from China specifically for the event, including Dr. Augustine Chow, CEO of Harmony Asset Ltd., Mr. He Zhong, Research Manager at China Merchants Securities (HK) Co. Ltd., Mr. Paul J. Markowski, president of Global Strategies-Analysis Group Inc., and Mr. Gilbert Chan, SVP, marketing and investor relations at ChineseWorldNet.com Inc.

"We were particularly pleased at the tremendous growth in the Toronto GCFF this year," said Joe Tai, president of ChineseWorldNet.com Inc. (OTCBB: CWNOF), the Organizer. "Our ribbon-cutting ceremony included dignitaries from all levels of government, as well as representatives from HKETO and several Chinese community and business associations, proving conclusively that the event has real appeal to the Chinese investment community. As well, for the first time, we had produced a special supplement especially for this event in the Canadian Business Magazine, entitled 'Let China Come to You,' which was very well received."

More than 300 local financial professionals, 50 overseas / Chinese representatives, and over 20 China-related companies attended the Day 1 event. The next day event attracted over 80 exhibitors and a total of more than 2,000 Chinese investors. Notable participating companies include Continental Minerals (TSX-V: KMK), Silvercorp Metals Inc. (TSX: SVM) and Javelin Pharmaceuticals Inc. (AMEX: JAV). The audiences were packed for keynote presentations from Richard Kelly, (Economist, TD Bank Financial Group); Jonathan Wellum (CEO, AIC Ltd.,); Josef Schachter (Schacter Asset Management Inc.); Andrew Guy (Portfolio Manager, Sentry Select Capital Corp.), and more.
