Global Resource Corp. Announces New Laboratory in North Carolina

Recently Announced Ex-Chief Technology Officer for Halliburton Company Dr. Vikram Rao Will Be in Charge of the State of the Art Facility

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ--(Marketwire - February 17, 2010) -  Global Resource Corp. (PINKSHEETS: GBRC), a developer of patented energy-efficient microwave-based technologies for recycling tires, upgrading petroleum products and converting other materials to higher value hydrocarbon-based fuels or carbon materials, announced today the building of a new laboratory to be located in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, a vibrant community of established and newly founded technology companies. The new facility will be home to the Company's research and development effort in all the facets of endeavor. Safety and environmental compliance will be a priority. Scientists and engineers will be sourced from the three outstanding research universities, Duke, North Carolina State and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, all located in close proximity.

Dr. Vikram Rao, Global Resource's recently appointed Chief Scientist, will be in charge of the facility effective immediately. Dr. Rao recently retired as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Halliburton Company where he was responsible for Halliburton's technology effort, as well as the setup and management of the intellectual asset management function.

"GBRC is extremely pleased to be relocating our laboratory to North Carolina," said Mr. Ken Kinsella, CEO of GBRC. "We are pleased to have someone with Dr. Rao's knowledge and expertise in commercializing disruptive technologies heading up our new facility. With our recent signing of a Joint Venture with Phoenix Renewable energy for $12 million we needed a new facility to optimize features of our prototype and to have the ability to begin construction on several one ton per hour units to be used in the Southern United States for use at scrap tire facilities."
