With Telestial's new pre-paid data services (www.telestial.com/data.php), there are no "surprise bills," no contracts, no monthly usage requirements, and no monthly service fees for completing such basic online tasks as using a Web browser, sending a text message, or forwarding a photo over email.

Unlike competitive "use now, bill later" services that can lead to unforeseen charges, Telestial's pre-paid data service plans let budget minded people predict and buy service tailored for their usage patterns or specific needs.

Telestial's basic pre-paid data services are available in 71 countries worldwide, and are available as part of a package with the purchase of either a Passport Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, Passport Lite SIM card, and/or Passport Plus SIM card. Prices vary depending on the country in which the plan is used. Pre-paid 3G data services with faster upload/download speeds and more enhanced services than those of traditional wireless networks will be available in 2009 in 10 countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Puerto Rico, Spain, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Pricing for Telestial's pre-paid data service is based on the size of downloaded/uploaded files. For example, using a wireless device to send a photo via email (approximately 100 kilobytes of data) will cost $0.50 in the United Kingdom, $1 in Mexico, $1.50 in the United States and Canada and $2.50 in Japan (Note: The examples cited here are estimates, based on an approximate size assumption.
