CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - April 30, 2010) -  Kaiser Family Foundation recently released a poll finding that most Americans don't have enough information to understand how the landmark health care and health insurance reform bill with affect them personally.

When asked about their emotional reaction to health reform, found the survey, a majority 55 percent of respondents say they were confused about the law.

"With all the political fodder and mud-slinging, it's not surprising at all that most Americans are confused about what the health reform law will change and how it will affect them," said Michael Mahoney, Director of Consumer Markets at GoHealthInsurance.com. "Unfortunately most of the facts get buried under the partisan noise, so we hope to help consumers get a better handle on what to expect in the next months and years as the provisions of health care reform become effective."

Earlier this month, GoHealthInsurance.com released a complete Guide to Health Reform which was created to provide clarity on what the Affordable Health Care Act will change in the health industry and when those changes will go into effect.

One point of confusion with consumers is that many believe that every aspect of health reform is activated immediately, according to Mahoney. In fact, the full scope of the law doesn't become effective until 2014. On the Guide to Health Reform, consumers can view a timeline of when each of the biggest provisions will happen. The guide also addresses how reform will affect individuals, families, and seniors.
