Golden Predator Appoints Mr. Robert Eadie as President

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 28, 2009) - Golden Predator Royalty and Development Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GPD) is pleased to announce, effective June 1, 2009, the appointments of Mr. Robert Eadie as President and Director and Mr. Gary Arca as Chief Financial Officer of the Company.

Robert Eadie

Mr. Eadie is a self-employed business owner who has been actively involved in public resource companies, raising over 80 million dollars for various exploration and development projects around the world over the past 15 years. Mr. Eadie has an impressive global network of contacts and has been the catalyst behind several successful start-up resource companies. Mr. Eadie is currently President and CEO of Starcore International Mines Ltd., Highland Resources Inc., Cortez Resources Corp. and Parlane Resource Corp. and serves as a Director of American Consolidated Minerals Corp.

Mr. Eadie attended Capilano College and in 2008, completed the Quantum Shift Program, an invitational-only leadership development program founded by KPMG Enterprise and the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Gary Arca, CA

Mr. Arca has extensive experience dealing with public companies and start-ups and has served as a director of several publicly traded resource companies. Mr. Arca is currently Chief Financial Officer and a Director of Starcore International Mines Ltd., , American Consolidated Minerals Corp., Highland Resources Inc., Cortez Resources Corp. and Parlane Resource Corp.. Mr. Arca was a partner with two separate public accounting firms from 1996 to December 2005 managing various audit, tax and consulting projects for public and private companies.

Mr. Arca has a BBA from Simon Fraser University and received his CA designation in 1985 after articling with Arthur Andersen. He has been a member of the BC Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants since 1980.
The appointments have been made in conjunction with the resignation of Mr. Steve Vanry, who has resigned as an officer to pursue other business interests. Mr. Vanry will continue to serve the Company as a member of its Board of Directors. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Vanry for his stewardship during the reorganization of the Company, initial funding and its split from the specialty metals business, now EMC Metals Corp. The Company is grateful to Mr. Vanry for his continued board involvement and looks forward to his continuing contributions in that position.

Effective June 1, 2009, Mr. James W. Watt will retire from the Board of Directors for personal pursuits. Mr. Watt will remain involved with the Company as a member of the Advisory Board.
