Government of Canada Awards $66,000 to Confection Aventure (2008) Inc. to Boost Production Capacity

WARWICK, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 19, 2010) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, today announced the awarding of $66,000 in repayable funding to Confection Aventure (2008) Inc. Awarded through the Community Adjustment Fund provided for under Canada's Economic Action Plan, this financial assistance will enable the SME to move into a larger building, add and replace equipment and upgrade the new premises' electrical system.

For more than 15 years, Confection Aventure (2008) Inc. has specialized in the design and manufacture of winter coats and work clothes for a corporate and public clientele. The enterprise is currently operating at full throttle and the addition of two new production lines will enable it to significantly increase its production capacity.

"In the context of the current global economic slowdown, in January 2009, our government adopted Canada's Economic Action Plan. This large-scale measure is aimed not only to bringing about our rapid recovery, but also at laying the foundations for solid long-term economic growth and job creation. The project put forward by Confection Aventure (2008) Inc. will quickly add 10 new jobs to an existing staff of 35," explained Minister of State Lebel.

The contribution from Canada Economic Development will enable Confection Aventure (2008) Inc. to acquire new and used equipment to enhance production capacity, and to upgrade the electrical system in the new building.
