Government of Canada Supports Innovative Research and Development in Moncton, New Brunswick

MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwire - July 24, 2009) - The Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister of State (Science and Technology), today announced a contribution of $509,182 to Vimsoft Incorporated from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP).

The funding supports an innovative research and development project that will support Vimsoft in creating a rapid development system for web-accessible information management applications for broadcasters.

"The Government of Canada is investing in science and technology to create jobs, strengthen the economy and improve Canadians' quality of life."

Vimsoft specializes in the development of information management software solutions for the broadcasting industry. The financial support received in this latest contribution agreement from NRC-IRAP will support the creation of a rapid development system for rich and web-accessible information management applications for businesses. Vimsoft's clients include national broadcasters, world-renowned performance troupes and more.
