Government of British Columbia-Media Advisory; Attention: Assignment Editors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 22, 2010) - Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Shirley Bond will speak at an Emirates Airline event announcing the results of an independent study showing the positive economic benefits of introducing daily direct air service between Dubai and Vancouver, Calgary and increased service to Toronto.

Bond, along with Andrew Parker, Senior VP, Public, International, Industry and Environment Affairs, Emirates Airline, and Tony Gugliotta, Senior VP, Marketing and Commercial Development, Vancouver Airport Authority, will be available for media interviews after the announcement.

Please Note: In order to gain entrance to the B.C. International Media Centre (BCMC), media will need accreditation for either BCMC or the Main Press Centre.

Media who have not collected their accreditation badge for the BCMC are encouraged to do so in advance. The Media Centre is open 24 hours a day. Media are reminded they will be asked to present photo identification.
