Gravity West Completes Northern BC Field Program

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 9, 2007) - Gravity West Mining Corp. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GRW) is pleased to announce it has successfully completed its 2007 field program consisting of comprehensive prospecting, geochemical survey and archaeological overview assessment of its Gin, Bonanza/Eldorado, Mabon and Ealue properties in Northern British Columbia. The properties are adjacent to or near the well-known Red Chris property currently being developed by Imperial Metals. All are prospective for copper/gold porphyry deposits. In total, the four properties cover 16,700 acres, south of the community of Iskut, BC.

Overall 25.3km of grid lines were soil/silt sampled over 50m intervals on both the Gin and the Bonanza/Eldorado claims. Primary objectives for the soil sampling included testing the western extent of two IP anomalies identified by Amarc in 2004 on the Bonanza/Eldorado claims, and evaluating the potential of the Gin claims for Copper/Gold porphyry mineralization. Work conducted this season on the Mabon and Ealue claims involved prospecting and recon geological mapping.

Soils samples collected throughout the course of the program are currently in for laboratory analysis. Company President Livio Susin is quoted as saying, "Based on outcroppings and anomalies observed by our field crew, we are hopeful that the soil sample analysis will help to identify potential targets for a 2008 geophysical survey and potential drilling program."

The archaeological overview assessment, focused on the Gin and Bonanza/Eldorado properties, was conducted by the Company's consultants in cooperation with the Tahltan Central Council representing the First Nations peoples in the region. Tahltan Central Council staff advised on the selection of consultants. Results of the archaeological work will be shared with the Council.

During the course of the winter, the Company will be analyzing and interpreting results of all the work, in preparation for an active 2008 exploration program on the properties. As specific results of lab analyses become available, the Company will announce everything of interest.

British Columbia Premier Gordon Campbell announced Monday, October 1, 2007 of a $400-million extension of B.C.'s electrical grid into the remote northwest region, which affects Gravity West's area of interest.
