Greenberg Traurig Global Practice Adds Seasoned Shareholder: Enrique J. Martin Re-Joins Miami Office

MIAMI, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 12, 2006 -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that Enrique J. Martin has re-joined its Miami office as a shareholder in the Global Practice Group. Most recently, Martin served as a partner with Hunton & Williams.

Martin focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures as well as domestic and foreign issuer securities offerings and venture capital transactions. He regularly counsels clients in connection with their general corporate and financing matters and he is regularly engaged to handle complex international business transactions.

"We are all excited about Rick's decision to return to our firm," said Patricia Menendez Cambo, chair of Greenberg's Global Practice Group. "His stellar record and outstanding reputation as a senior international business attorney will be an excellent addition to our international practice as we expand our presence in cross-border transactions and capital markets worldwide."

Martin had previously been with Greenberg Traurig for approximately nine years serving as counsel to firm clients, including Telefónica and other multinational clients in connection with numerous cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures and capital markets transactions. Most recently, one of Martin's better known representations involved Seisint, Inc. in connection with its auction sale to Lexis-Nexis for a purchase price of $775 million, one of the largest private M&A transactions in Florida. Martin received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992 and his B.S. in finance, cum laude, from Florida State University.

"Today's global clients require not only a high level of legal experience but also a commitment to understanding the way they conduct business. Rick's experience and goals satisfy this vision. We are excited to have him as part of the team once again," said Matt Gorson, Greenberg Traurig's National Operating Shareholder for the Southeast Region and Managing Shareholder of the Miami office.
