GuestLogix Signs Agreement With UK's Facilities Partner Limited to Provide Retail Solutions on Board London Midland and CrossCountry Trains

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 14, 2009) - GuestLogix, Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GXI), the leading provider of onboard retail solutions to the passenger travel industry, today announced that it has signed an agreement with The Facilities Partner Limited (TFP), UK to provide its onboard retail point-of-sale (POS) handhelds and software platform to support the sale of beverages and meals on board trains operated by London Midland and CrossCountry. Collectively, the two rail operators are responsible for managing approximately 76 million passenger journeys a year.

Brendon Woods, Managing Director of TFP said, "We have been planning this significant development in the UK with Guestlogix for some time and our recent success in being awarded a long-term contract to provide onboard train catering services to London Midland passengers, gives us the relevant platform to implement and deliver this excellent retailing solution."

"We have also agreed to provide this system for our pre-existing Arriva CrossCountry business which is particularly timely, having recently expanded these services to cover Stanstead Airport and the GuestLogix system's ability to transact in cash or credit/debit cards in both Sterling as well as Euros has, obvious retailing benefits."

Woods added, "The business package offered by GuestLogix, the professionalism of their team and their excellent global reputation, simply made them a first choice for TFP and we are very excited to be moving our business forward with them."

The agreement marks the first two rail deployments by GuestLogix in the European region. TFP expects to be fully operational with the latest GuestLogix' Chip and PIN handhelds around the end of this year with TFP personnel operating the POS devices on their food and drink trolleys.

"We are excited to be working with TFP which specializes in food services and logistics for the UK rail industry," said Tom Douramakos, President and CEO, GuestLogix. "We look forward to enabling retail operations on board London Midland and CrossCountry trains and helping our partner to maximize the onboard experience for its customers."

Douramakos added, "The passenger rail industry represents a market at least seven times larger than the airline industry in terms of annual passenger trips. Working with TFP, London Midland and CrossCountry represents a significant entry into the rail market for GuestLogix."
