HMSHost and Union Reach Tentative Agreement at Vancouver International Airport

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2010) - HMSHost and employees of Unite Here Local 40 reached a tentative settlement last night on terms of its Collective Agreement covering 285 food, beverage and retail employees at Vancouver International Airport. Ratification of the new agreement is expected this Friday.

Employees began returning to work yesterday and, as of this morning, all functioning, impacted concession locations have reopened to the public.

"HMSHost is pleased to announce that it has reached a reasonable and equitable settlement with Unite Here Local 40. Now, we can all turn our attention to the important matter at hand - providing a warm send-off for travelers departing from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games," said Daryl Hrynkiw, HMSHost spokesperson.
