Habeas and Sendmail Partner to Offer the First Domain-Based Email Reputation System

Collaboration Enables Organizations Worldwide to Protect and Grow Brand Equity Online Through Email Reputation Management

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - November 5, 2007) - Habeas, Inc. (, the world leader in email reputation services, today announced its partnership with Sendmail, Inc., the company that provides policy-centric solutions for securing and managing business communications. The partnership enables Sendmail to provide its customers with an additional level of protection by offering the first commercially available domain-based reputation system. Leading enterprises in 33 countries, including many of the Fortune 1000 that rely on Sendmail for its messaging solutions, can now leverage the Habeas Reputation Network to manage their email reputation and maximize email deliverability worldwide.

Sendmail will integrate domain-based reputation intelligence from Habeas to identify sender domains as trusted, legal entities with DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) signatures. The combined solution enables organizations to deliver email messages to intended recipients without inadvertently being filtered as spam or bulk mail. The Habeas Reputation Network -- checked by over five million receiving networks nearly a billion times a day from more than 190 countries -- provides critical data and helps to eliminate false-positives.

"We are excited to be able to add the Habeas domain-based reputation service to Sentrion's messaging security application portfolio," said Stephanie Nevin, vice president of product marketing and application solutions for Sendmail Inc. "With this new application offering, Sendmail customers can be assured that they are getting the best brand reputation and messaging security protection in the industry."

Sendmail's Sentrion MP Message Processor is the first high-performance appliance offering all-in-one protection for both inbound and outbound messages. In addition, the new Sendmail and Habeas solution extends the geographic reach of senders and receivers.

"Email continues to be critical for marketing, transactional and relationship management communications," said Chuck Swenberg, vice president of sales and business development for Habeas. "By enhancing Sendmail's market-leading enterprise and ISP infrastructure solutions with Habeas' reputation services, together we will help organizations improve brand equity and business results online. We're pleased to be collaborating with Sendmail on strategic initiatives including broader adoption of reputation management through open source technologies."
