Hana Reports Additional Results From Zone 6 at Ghanzi, Botswana

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 24, 2008) - Hana Mining Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HMG)(FRANKFURT:4LH) is pleased to report results from twelve new reverse circulation (RC) holes completed as part of an ongoing drilling program at its sediment-hosted Ghanzi Copper-Silver Project in Botswana. All of the holes, HA-04-R to HA-15-R, were drilled northeast along strike on the north limb of a syncline at Zone 6. Two of these holes, HA-04-R and HA-12-R, intersected significant mineralization including intercept widths of 9.0 meters grading 1.16 %Cu (HA-04-R) and 9.0 meters grading 1.79 %Cu within a broad zone of 24.0 meters grading 1.00 %Cu (HA-12-R).

All of the holes are vertical and the widths reported are intercept length and are estimated to be approximately 60% of true width. Drill sections and a 3D model can be viewed at http://www.corebox.net/properties/ghanzi/ or by following a link on the Company's website.

Drilling at Zone 6 was designed to confirm mineralization reported from diamond drilling by Anglo American as well as to test strike continuity along the contact between reduced hanging wall siltstones and oxidized footwall sandstones on the north limb of a northeast trending syncline. Highlights include hole HA-04-R that returned 1.16 %Cu over a true width of 5.9 meters within a wider zone of 0.98 %Cu over 7.8 meters true width. This hole is 100 meters along strike from holes HA-01-R to HA-03-R, reported in a press release dated July 17, 2008. Holes HA-05-R to HA-11-R were drilled along strike an additional 800 meters to the northeast. Holes HA-12-R to HA-15-R were drilled 600 meters along strike to the southeast. In total Zone 6 has been tested with 24 RC holes over a 2.3 kilometer strike length. Results for 9 more RC holes drilled along strike to the southwest are pending. Owing to a change in strike and dip of the mineralized horizon, holes HA-11, 13, 14 and 15-R were drilled in barren footwall. The mineralized horizon was intersected during follow up RC drilling; results are pending.

The south limb of the fold has not yet been tested at Zone 6.

Exploration activities will cease at the end of November and are scheduled to resume in the new year.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control

Hana has implemented an industry-standard QA/QC program. A 35-40 kilogram sample is collected from the cyclone discharge at 1 meter intervals. The sample is then split 75/25; 75% of the sample is archived and the other 25% provides material for analysis. Three meter composite samples from 3 successive intervals are collected from the split of each 1 meter interval. The composited sample is submitted for analysis and the 75%-split is reserved for more detailed 1 meter follow-up sampling and analysis of mineralized intervals. All samples are double bagged, sealed and transported in secured wooden crates and shipped to Scientific Services Laboratory in Cape Town, South Africa. Standards, blanks and duplicates are inserted into the sample stream for diamond drill and RC samples.
